NUWODU is planning to develop a safeguarding policy to prevent and protect its employees (permanent or contractual staff, volunteers, interns, service providers (those who directly or indirectly are involved) and her beneficiaries (children, young people and women with disabilities) of Uganda from harm, abuse, neglect and exploitation.
This is aimed to have a positive action against discrimination, sexual abuse, assault and any other harmful act recognized by the policies accordingly.
Overall objective of the Consultancy:
The overall objective of the consultancy is to design and develop a safeguarding policy that is functional and guiding the mechanism to safeguard NUWODU staff, membership and the women and girls with disabilities.
The consultancy shall give technical guidance to the staff of NUWODU to develop a standard safeguarding policy which is a point of reference during times of conflict between and among parties.
The existence of a policy shall create a good, free and safe working environment for all
