A woman with physical disability using sticks for walking aides to the Male Inclusion meeting

Happy faces and an infectious song and dance were the welcome NUWODU received from the women and girls with disabilities of Kucwiny and Wadelai subcounties of Nebbi district, as the women and girls with disabilities shared their stories of change.

Agwakuta F. narrated how her husband used to be abusive and an alcoholic. He would go as far as selling household items to feed his addiction but after the training of spouses on the rights of girls and
women with disabilities, Agwakuta’s husband became cognizant of her rights. He stopped being physically abusive and has even started looking after his family.
