Kado a girl with a hearing challenge enrolled in school after a long stay while at home due to discrimination because of deafness.
At the on set of the Mitigation of Gender based Violence including prevention of Child neglect in Koboko District, a right to education was key to GWDs through dissemination of advocacy messages such as disability is not inability. This caused attitude change among parents, Kadoā€™s parent being one of the beneficiaries of the project.
Kado in a school uniform with a blue sweater said ā€œIā€™m now happy to be in school. I enjoy a happy environment with my peers though am shy to sign.ā€
