International Day of the African Child

Norah with the children under her care receiving goods from NUWODU

In celebration of the International Day of The African Child 16th, June 2015, NUWODU rewarded a woman with disability in fulfilment of its corporate/social responsibility.

Norah is 44 year old woman with a physical disability acting as a foster parent to nine neighbourhood children in Bukoto. Children have always been drawn to her and once she lost her job, Norah settled down to look after the children who came to her house as more parents left their children in her care. Without physical and enough financial support to care for the children, NUWODU gifted her with groceries to support her and the children under her care.
